Having been born locally, in Trang, we want to rejuvenate the Kantang area to what it used to be: the gateway from the Andaman coast to the outside world. Kantang was once a major port, seeing, among others, major trading activity of butter from Singapore / Penang (Malaysia) / Indonesia. And passenger traffic in/out of Southeast Asia, South Asia, East Asia and others. In addition, we see great opportunity in the region that we want to be a part of developing.
In 2007, we decided to move forward and formed the team. Sri Trang Logistic Co., Ltd started the 1st container port/cy operation at Kantang port (Terminal 3) in July 2008. We have consistently grown since then; 6,000TEU, 18,000TEU, and 23,000TEU in 2008, 2009, and 2010 respectively (laden out only). However, this success cannot be fully realized without support from the government sector, private sector, such as shippers and forwarders, Kantang residents, and especially our partners. All of the above would create the three components necessary to allow us, at STL, to move forward:
